Our Carbon Commitment

How can we reduce our carbon footprint?

Here at Broadbelt Digital, we understand that carbon emissions are much further reaching than cars and cows. The internet consumes a huge amount of electricity each year and the 1.14 billion websites contribute greatly to this consumption.

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by designing and building a website and set of services that use minimal electricity and energy. We have also committed to planting 16 trees a year through Trees That Count. This will offset all of our website emissions 4 fold.

How do we do it?

You’ll notice a lot of white space and minimal images. That’s intentional. The images we use are compressed in size and quality to increase load speed but also to reduce our carbon footprint. Being a company that offers SEO services it would be mad not to have great SEO ourselves. This not only helps our search engine rankings but also helps the environment.

We use clean code, optimise our content and minimise our design to create a more user-friendly and energy-efficient website. Simple!
